Terms & Conditions

These terms set out what you can expect from Tembusu and what we ask of participants in return. They are written in plain language and govern the relationship between you and Tembusu Pte. Ltd. when you enquire about or enrol in any of our programmes.

Last reviewed: May 2025

1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to all interactions between you and Tembusu Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202412345K), trading as Tembusu, a financial education practice registered in Singapore with its principal place of business at 47 Tanjong Pagar Road, #04-12, Singapore 088466.

By submitting an enquiry, registering for a programme, or making a payment, you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms. If you are enrolling on behalf of another person, you confirm that you have authority to do so and that the other person is also bound by these Terms.

These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

2. Our Programmes

Tembusu currently offers the following financial education programmes:

Programme Format Fee (SGD)
Mid-Life Money Map 4-week group study, max 12 participants SGD 220
The Income Years Curriculum 10-week programme, max 15 participants SGD 460
Legacy & Loved-Ones Curriculum 6 private sessions over approx. 3 months SGD 780

Programme schedules, including session dates, times and formats, are communicated at the point of registration and may be subject to reasonable adjustment. We will give you as much notice as practicable of any changes.

3. Nature of the Service

Tembusu provides financial education — structured learning and discussion to help you understand financial concepts and your own financial position. Our programmes are educational in nature and do not constitute financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, or tax advice.

Facilitators may use examples and general principles to illustrate concepts, but nothing communicated during a programme should be taken as a recommendation to act in any particular way with regard to your finances. You retain full responsibility for any financial decisions you make. We encourage participants to consult qualified, licensed advisers where individual advice is needed.

4. Enrolment and Confirmation

Your place on a programme is confirmed once:

  • You have completed the registration process on this website or by direct correspondence with us; and
  • Payment has been received in full (or a payment arrangement has been agreed in writing).

We will send you a written confirmation by email upon receipt of payment. Please check your confirmation carefully and contact us promptly if any detail appears incorrect.

Places are limited. We cannot hold a place without payment, and confirmation of a place is on a first-come, first-served basis.

5. Fees and Payment

All fees are quoted in Singapore Dollars (SGD) inclusive of goods and services tax (GST) where applicable. Payment is due at the time of registration unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We accept payment by bank transfer and by credit or debit card through our payment service provider. Details are provided during the registration process.

If a payment is returned or declined, your place may be released. We will contact you to resolve the matter before taking that step.

6. Cancellation and Refund Policy

We understand that circumstances change. Our cancellation terms are as follows:

Notice given before programme start Refund
14 days or more Full refund
7 to 13 days 50% refund
Fewer than 7 days No refund, but credit towards a future programme
After programme has commenced No refund

To cancel, please contact us in writing at [email protected]. Cancellations are effective from the date we receive your written notice.

If we are required to cancel a programme for any reason, you will receive a full refund of any fees paid. We will contact all registered participants promptly in such circumstances.

7. Transfers and Substitutions

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your place to another person by notifying us in writing at least five working days before the programme begins. Please give us the name and contact details of the person who will attend in your place. We will confirm whether the transfer is suitable given the programme's learning objectives and participant profile.

You may also transfer your enrolment to a later cohort of the same programme, subject to availability, with written notice given at least seven days in advance. One transfer of this kind is permitted without charge.

8. Participant Conduct

Our programmes depend on an atmosphere of mutual respect and candid discussion. We ask all participants to:

  • Treat fellow participants and facilitators with courtesy and consideration
  • Respect the privacy of others — personal financial information shared in sessions is not to be discussed outside the group
  • Arrive prepared and engage with the reading and workbook materials provided
  • Refrain from recording sessions without the written consent of Tembusu and all participants present

We reserve the right to ask a participant to leave a programme without refund if their conduct significantly disrupts the experience for others or does not meet these expectations. We will only do so after raising the concern directly.

9. Intellectual Property

All course materials, workbooks, written summaries and other content produced by Tembusu remain the intellectual property of Tembusu Pte. Ltd. You are welcome to use them for your own personal learning. You may not reproduce, distribute or adapt them for commercial purposes without our written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Singapore law, Tembusu's liability in connection with any programme is limited to the fees paid by you for that programme. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential or financial loss arising from your participation in or reliance on content from our programmes.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Singapore law.

11. Changes to Programmes

We aim to deliver programmes exactly as described. Occasionally, we may need to make reasonable changes to content, facilitators, venue or timing. We will give you notice of any material change and, where a change is significant, offer you the option to cancel for a full refund.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably between the parties may be referred to the courts of Singapore.
